Options

Timberdale offers clients two construction options:

Conventional stick-framed construction through Timberdale (this is usually the only option available for renovation projects)

Panelized construction through a joint offer by Timberdale and Bensonwood

We also offer clients flexibility in selecting the team to design their project. We have a considerable amount of experience in working with third-party architects, whether selected by you or recommended by Timberdale. When the option is chosen to work with Bensonwood, clients have the additional design option of working with Bensonwood's in-house architectural and engineering design team.

Clients may also choose to semi-customize a house design through Bensonwood's pre-designed Lifestyle™ and Carriage House™ Series. This option saves the considerable investment required for a custom designed home and speeds up the design phase.

Timberdale Conventional Stick-Framed Construction Option

Architectural plans by your architect or ours are implemented in full by Timberdale as General Contractor. Timberdale will work with you and your architect to assure that the building shell assembly incorporates state-of-the-art building methods and techniques. We also advise on alternative energy system alternatives and design and manage their proper installation.

Timberdale/Bensonwood Panelized Construction Option

Architectural plans designed by your architect or Bensonwood are input into Bensonwood's computer-aided manufacturing stytem. Panels, with windows and insulation are assembled at Bensonwood's facility in Walpole, NH. The panels are transported to your site and assembled into a fully dry home, usually within 2 weeks. Timberdale manages all site work, trade and finish work.
